The Wachau is one of the most beautiful and famous wine regions in the world, which is divided by the river Danube.  It´s unique natural conditions produce great wines and give them their distinctive touch and taste. Wine has been grown in the Wachau since the days of the Celtics. Through thousand-year long weathering processes, a wine region of rare beauty emerged. Because of its soils formations and its own microclimate the Wachau differ from all other wine culture areas in Europe.
