Bodegas Altolandon produces exceptional wines from a 100-hectare biodynamic vineyard in Manchuela, Spain. Their high-altitude vineyard, with warm day time and cool nighttime temperatures is an ideal climate for organic viticulture. All the wines ferment with native yeasts, are bottled without filtration, and without added sulfur.

Anapea Village produces wine in Kakheti of the Republic of Georgia. Their vineyards are biodynamic, and all the wines see extended skin contact macerations in qvevri. They make wine using the ancient 8000-year-old traditions of the Caucasus Mountain Region, believed to be birthplace of wine. The wines are wild yeast fermented, bottled without filtration, no additions, and without added sulfur.

We are excited to have Marta joining us at Cork.  We will be sampling a few of her great wines and hope you will join us!

From grapes harvested at their perfect degree of ripeness, hand picked, in boxes of 25 kilos. From the vineyards in the Salnés Valley. Stemmed grape soft pressed and, following a light debourbage, the must ferments spontaneously in stainless steel tanks where they subsequently rest and stabilize until bottled.

Tasting: Straw yellow with greenish iridescence, with a highly expressive nose, marked by its varietal origin, where ripe fruit and citric fruits are noted ... 
Very elegant on the mouth and well-structured, reminiscent of fresh fruit ... with a long, marked finish.

Tasting: Ruby red, well-covered, with a young, bright appearance. Clean on the nose, with no faults, fruity aromas particular to the variety, and reminiscences of minerals. Good finish in the mouth, silky, unctuous, with a solid structure (despite being a young wine), a very well-balanced acidity and good aftertaste.

Pairing: Tender meats, white meats, roast poultry, tender casseroles, fish stews and octopus

CASA's 12th Annual Wine Tasting and Hudson County's largest wine tasting event returns this year on Friday, March 23rd at Maritime Parc in Jersey City. 

This exciting new location offers a beautiful view as guests can enjoy wine samples selected by Cork Wine & Spirits. All proceeds will directly benefit the foster children of Hudson County.

The night will include food and wine samples as well as a silent auction, ring toss, and introduction of this year's CASA honorees, Noreen McTamney and Diane Rosenshein.

We are excited to partner with OTTO STRADA and The Hudson Charter school for the second time.  It is guaranteed to be a great evening of food, wine, and a chance to meet with industry experts.

Experience a unique opportunity to learn about food pairings and Italian wine varietals. Otto STRADA will be preparing a 4-course sit down dinner including many of their signature dishes.  We will be providing a wine tasting to accompany the Italian cuisine.

 OTTO STRADA is Italian cooking at its finest; simple foods made with high-quality ingredients in a wood burning brick oven. Their Chefs are bringing the same foods they watched their Nonnas make at home to OTTO STRADA's kitchen. And as always with Italian cooking, there is an emphasis on living life to its absolute fullest!

We are thrilled to join Hoboken Baby Boot Camp and their social arm "Stroller Friends" for our second wine tasting event at Cork Wines & Spirits.  

Baby Boot Camp is an innovative  fitness program that helps moms regain or enhance pre-pregnancy fitness levels and meet the physical challenges of parenting by emphasizing strength training in a supportive environment.

Hoboken Mom Karlene McLeod launched the Hoboken Baby Boot Camp. It’s a thrice-weekly, one-hour workout held in uptown Hoboken that’s stroller-based. Supervised by certified fitness professionals (McLeod herself is an ACE certified personal trainer), the workout is designed to allows parents to work out with their children. This spares them from having to get babysitters or make other arrangements just so they can get a workout in.

We are excited to join Hudson Table and residents at Park & Garden for their first event on Tuesday, November 17th from 7PM-9PM. There will be a wine tasting, hor d'oeuvres provided by Hudson Table.

“Cork Wines & Spirits opened in Hoboken July 2014 and in Harrison December 2014.  Both cities were in need of a fine wine shop to meet the palates of an amazing and knowledgeable crowd of wine enthusiasts. Not only do they love a delicious wine, but are willing to explore the vast ways that people extract this liquid from grapes. We have taken it upon ourselves to find winemakers who are interested in bringing their creations to New Jersey.  The Wine Guys taste every wine that is in our stores, handpicking each item, making sure that our customers receive only the best. With over 160 years of history, the winery Ippolito is the oldest wine reality today in Calabria. Located in the historic center of Ciro Marina, the heart of the Calabrian wine-growing, the company includes a farm of over 100 hectares, distributed among rolling hills and sunny plains near the Ionian Sea, situated in the classical part of Ciro. Always been the company's mission is the restoration and enhancement of indigenous grapes such Gaglioppo, the Greek Black, Calabrese and finally the Pecorello. Through constant research, the use of innovative techniques, the direct control of all production processes, we seek in our wines elegance, exclusivity and identity with its territory. A fascinating challenge addressed in the sign of absolute quality. Today the company has 14 labels present in 4 continents, a fact that more than any other ahead with a significant entrepreneurial dynamism.

The wines for the dinner are made in a traditional method, the style for both red and whites recall bright fruit, acidity and long expressive finish. these are real easy seller, and drink very well. ALL the material for marketing included.

The Hoboken Museum is pleased to welcome back New Jersey's own Black Maria Film Festival for an evening of wine-tasting and short documentary films, with wine provided by Cork Wine & Spirits (1450 Washington St.). Festival director Jane Steuerwald will introduce a selection of the festival's award-winning short films, including "Umbrella House," whose director Catalina Santamaria, will be present for the Q&A session. Since 1981, the mission of the Black Maria Film Festival has been to promote, illuminate, and advocate innovation in the art of the moving image. The festival has passionately embraced this mission for the past thirty-five years, and is named after the world's first motion picture studio built by Thomas Edison, where he made all of his own short experimental films. Moviemaker's Spring 2010 issue lists the Black Maria Film Festival as one of "25 Film Festivals Worth the Entry Fee."
